Charm Offensive Meets... Heidi Park

Heidi Park is the Korean-American who came to Estonia, switching careers from being a Coastguard in the States to being a renowned and super-talented baker and caterer in Tallinn. I met her in her shop in Uus Maailm to chat about her life, career, cakes and cookies.

Heidi Park is the celebrated Korean-American cake-maker who has revolutionised the way Estonians think about their sweet treats. But Heidi has never chosen the easy life, as Stuart hears.

Heidi, as explained in the video, makes cakes and cookies that reflect the kind of things she would like to taste at home. Although not on a mission to introduce American food into Estonia, she's done a great job of increasing the variety on offer here, for example with her peanut butter cake.
